Brooklyn Nets: 5 Potential Trade Destinations for Brook Lopez

4.) Dallas Mavericks
In recent years, the Dallas Mavericks have been trying desperately to acquire a center. The offseason drama between DeAndre Jordan and the Mavericks not to long ago left the Mavericks without a center, and that is something that they still seek.
Unlike previous years, the Mavericks are not playing well this season. Despite being a future Hall-of-Famer, father time is starting to catch up to Dirk Nowitzki. This season, Nowitzki is averaging just 24.9 minutes per game, as the end of his career is likely near. With that being said, the Mavericks might consider trying to acquire a player that can be a great scorer for them.
While Andrew Bogut is currently the center for the Mavericks, he is not that same player as Lopez. Bogut is a better defender and rebounder than Lopez, however, he doesn’t do much on the offensive end of the court.
Even though Lopez likely wouldn’t help the Mavericks make the playoffs next season, he could be used as a building block alongside Harrison Barnes. There is going to be a lot of change in Dallas soon. Owner Mark Cuban has done an excellent job building a winning franchise, and Lopez could help them achieve success in the near future.
