5.) Charlotte Hornets

One of the teams that have underwhelmed a bit in the Eastern Conference this season is the Charlotte Hornets. Led by Kemba Walker, the Hornets will likely be a playoff team in the Eastern Conference once again, Walker has emerged as a star for the Hornets, but this is a team that still needs helps.

At the center position, the Hornets have been using a platoon of Roy Hibbert and Cody Zeller. While Hibbert has had success in the past, he is not the player that he used to be. In addition to Zeller and Hibbert, the Hornets also have Spencer Hawes and Frank Kaminsky that they use to stretch the floor at times from the center and power forward position. With Marvin Williams being a solid stretch four already, Lopez would fit nicely with him in the starting lineup.

There are a few young assets that the Nets would likely be interested in a trade for Lopez. However, draft picks would be the preference of the Nets. Adding Lopez would give the Hornets a bonafide scoring center to help ease the workload of Walker. A core of Walker, Lopez and Nicolas Batum would make for a solid trio for the Hornets in the Eastern Conference.
