Round 2: Tanoh Kpassagnon; Defensive End, Villanova

The Giants may have a huge hole to fill on their defense this off-season as Jason Pierre-Paul becomes an unrestricted free agent. After a great season for New York, he could be one of the market’s most coveted free agents.

With last off-season’s spending spree, it will be hard for New York to keep Pierre-Paul, who could become one the league’s highest paid defensive linemen.

If that should happen, the Giants could address the need for a pass rusher in Villanova’s Tanoh Kpassagnon. Like Pierre-Paul, he’s a freakish athlete whose speed at  6-feet-7 inches tall and 290 pounds is a rare combination in the NFL. He had 11 sacks and 21.5 tackles for a loss in his senior campaign.

While he is a project player, New York has the fortune to have Steve Spagnuolo to help develop him into possibly the next great Giant pass rusher.
