Final Thoughts

Collins definitely is showing signs of becoming the next great Giants defender. His raw power and talent show that he is pointing himself in the right direction to be an L.T. type player.

Taylor has gone down as a Giants great, and if Collins continues his play, he will be right alongside Taylor. There are a lot of similarities in the play of the two, but there are also many differences. Those differences show that Collins has the ability to be just as great as Taylor, just in a different style of defense.

The tape shows that Taylor was the main piece in a great Giants rush, and Collins is that same kind of main piece for a great Giants secondary.

Could Collins one day be as great as Lawrence Taylor? That’s for his performance to decide.
