New York Giants: 5 Offseason Moves Jerry Reese Needs To Make
The New York Giants are beginning what will be a very important offseason for the near future of the franchise.
Going into the 2016 season New York Giants fans everywhere believed that it was a make-or-break offseason for General Manager Jerry Reese. Reese went out and signed the likes of Janoris Jenkins, Olivier Vernon, and Damon Harrison, thus solving the defensive woes.
He then drafted Eli Apple in the first round, a pick that confused many people at the time, but ended up paying dividends this season. He also found a great compliment to Odell Beckham Jr. in Sterling Shepard.
The Giants had a promising regular season, but there were definitely some glaring issues that need to be addressed. The offense, which was supposed to be the backbone of the team, was nothing short of disappointing in some of the most important moments of the season.
After the walloping Big Blue got from the Green Bay Packers, I would go as far as to say this is the most important offseason for Jerry Reese as the G.M. of the New York Giants. From re-signing Jason Pierre-Paul to addressing the disaster that is the Giants offensive line, I rank the top five things Reese will have to do before opening day 2017.
