1.) Matt Ryan

It has been a great season for Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons. As the winners of the NFC South, the Falcons were able to secure a bye in the first round of the playoffs. After a few down seasons, Ryan really bounced back nicely in 2016.

This season, Ryan totaled 4,944 passing yards, 38 passing touchdowns, and seven interceptions. The interceptions being down is key for Ryan. In 2015, Ryan had 16 interceptions and 21 passing touchdowns. Clearly, it was a much-improved season for Ryan.

In five playoffs games, Ryan has totaled a 1-4 record. In addition to the poor record, Ryan hasn’t played all that well. In the playoffs, Ryan has totaled nine touchdown passes and seven interceptions

The Falcons have been a disappointment in the playoffs with Ryan as the quarterback, but this is a different team. Ryan also has the luxury of having Julio Jones has his go-to wide receiver. Jones has been a favorite target of Ryan this season, as he has totaled 83 receptions, 1,409 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.

If the Falcons are going to be able to get over some of their playoff struggles, they will need Ryan in top form.
