New York Giants: Quarterback Power Rankings for NFC Playoffs

3.) Dak Prescott
One of the biggest surprises this season has been the success of rookie quarterback, Dak Prescott. After an injury to Tony Romo in the preseason, Prescott has been the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. Even though Romo is healthy, the Cowboys have stuck with Prescott as the starting quarterback.
As a fourth round pick, not many were sure what to expect from Prescott. However, Prescott has exceeded all expectations. This season, Prescott has totaled 3,667 passing yards, 23 touchdown passes, and four interceptions. One of the greatest strengths of Prescott is that he doesn’t turn the ball over.
Unlike some of the other quarterbacks in the NFC, Prescott hasn’t been asked to do as much. Due to a great offensive line and running game, Prescott has been put in a position to succeed as a rookie.
However, in big games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, Prescott was able to throw for over 300 passing yards in each game. In the playoffs, the Cowboys might have to ask for more from Prescott. It is hard to predict whether or not Prescott can take over a game passing the football, but a few games this season can be looked as indicators that he will be able to.
