The New York Knicks are currently on a six-game losing streak and point guard Brandon Jennings wants more accountability.

It has been a very rough stretch for the New York Knicks recently. They have lost six straight games, and their defense has been awful during that stretch. The lack of effort at times has really hurt the team, and point guard Brandon Jennings wants players to be held accountable.

“Guys are still together. I just wish we would hold guys, we would hold each other a little more accountable for what we do on the court,” Jennings said in an interview with ESPN on Thursday. I definitely like being coached and being told when I’m doing something wrong. So those are things that I really think we need to start doing within each other and the team because that’s what good teams do.”

Against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, the Knicks built up a nice lead in the third quarter only to see it disappear in the fourth. Jennings, who has emerged as a leader believes the second unit, including himself, should have been ripped apart.

"“I’m not looking at it as a negative. Just sometimes, like last night, the second unit should have gotten ripped for what we did in the fourth. That’s just how I feel.”"

Jennings wants everyone on the team to hold each accountable from the players to the coaches. Seeing how poorly the Knicks have played lately, Jennings certainly has a point.

“Players among themselves, coaches to players, all of that. Everybody should be able to take criticism whenever,” said Jennings to Begley, who made it clear in the interview that all of the recent losses have eaten at him. “I think we need it more often. I mean, we’re on a six-game losing streak. To lose a 15-point lead in the fourth is embarrassing.”

Since coming to the Knicks, Jennings has been anything but shy about sharing his thoughts. With a lot of new faces and a new coach, people might be afraid to overstep their bounds. However, the Knicks appear to be in need for having more accountability if they are going to reach their potential.
