The New York Giants have had a great 2016 season, and they are well-represented on the Pro Football Focus All-Pro Team.

As a playoff team in the NFC, the New York Giants have some great players on their team. On the Pro Football Focus All-Pro team, the Giants had five players receive honors.

On the first-team was safety Landon Collins. On the second-team, Odell Beckham Jr., Janoris Jenkins, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and Damon Harrison all received the honors.

Due to the excellent play of the Giants defense, it is no surprise to see four players on the defensive side of the ball make the list. There was a lot of discussion about how much money the Giants spent on the defensive side of the ball this season. However, it was clearly money well spent, as both Jenkins and Harrison made the list for PFF.

The one standout for the Giants has been their second-year safety. Collins will be in the running for the Defensive Player of the Year award. Also, he was the only member of the Giants on the first-team. Here is what PFF had to say about Collins:

"What a transformation for Landon Collins in year two. The move to strong safety closer to the line transformed him from a rookie second-round bust to a legitimate Defensive Player of the Year candidate. Collins was all over the field for the Giants this season, leading all safeties in defensive stops, with 46 (eight more than the next player), and recording five interceptions and five pass breakups. His all-around excellent and impact on an outstanding Giants’ defense was too good to keep him from the top spot."

While Jenkins was named as a second-team cornerback, his running mate Cromartie also made the list as a defensive back. PFF wanted to recognize cornerbacks that have played in the slot this season, and Cromartie has certainly excelled there.

"Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie saw time in the slot this season for the Giants, and ended the year with six interceptions, including three over the final two games against division opponents."

Being well-represented on PFF’s All-Pro team is certainly a good thing for the Giants heading into the playoffs. The Giants have a big game ahead of them against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. They will be relying heavily on their top players to have big games.
