Special Teams Grade: A

Special teams were a big reason why the Giants were able to stay within striking distance of the Eagles. Robbie Gould doubled his field goal output on the season, knocking in four field goals from 35-yards twice, 29-yards and 41-yards. He also made his only extra point attempt of the game.

Brad Wing once again put on a show punting. He placed one of his three punts inside the 20 and averaged 48.3 yards per punt on the three times he was called upon.

The coverage teams were excellent once again. The Eagles averaged only 19 yards per kick return as Nelson Agholor was held in check. They did not have a chance to return any of Wing’s punts, so the coverage team did its job there in addition to Wing.

Dwayne Harris had a tough night returning punts. He fumbled once early in the second quarter and finished the game with negative return yards. Sometimes a fair catch is fine, as Harris sometimes gets risky back there.

The Giants were unable to get much going on kickoffs either. Harris averaged 20 yards per return on his three attempts, while Bobby Rainey gained 22 yards on his one return attempt.
