Rushing Defense Grade: A-

Once again the Giants rushing defense came to play; it just took a drive to get going. The Eagles carved up the Giants defense on their first drive of the game, rushing for 62 yards. The drive was capped off by a 25-yard scamper by Darren Sproles. After that, it was tough sledding for the Eagles as the Giants run defense locked in.

The Eagles ran for 118 yards on 30 carries in the game, averaging 3.9 yards per carry. Take out that opening drive and they ran for only 56 yards, averaging 2.2 yards per carry. Ryan Mathews and Sproles each had their longest run of the game on that opening drive as they found it difficult to move the ball after that.

Once again Landon Collins was a force in the run game. He recorded nine tackles in the game, two which went for a loss. He played a big role in the goalline stand in the fourth quarter playing with speed and aggressiveness. His confidence is sky-high as he looks like one of the best safeties in the NFL in the box.

Vernon and Coty Sensabaugh also had tackles for loss in the game, but it was Collins leading the way. His nine tackles easily led the Giants; no other player had more than four total tackles.
