Special Teams Grade: B+

The special teams were able to get the job done overall once again. Robbie Gould kept his perfect field goal percentage intact, kicking a 47-yarder in the second quarter. He also made both extra point attempts.

Gould has also done well with the pooch kick on kickoffs. But, for those kicks to be successful, the coverage team has to do its job as well; against the Lions they did. Andre Roberts averaged only 16 yards per kick return against the Giants.

The Giants were unable to get anything going on returns either. Dwayne Harris gained 23 yards on his sole kickoff return and averaged 9.5 yards per punt return. Beckham Jr. returned two punts as well, averaging 4.5 yards per gain. He had yet another punt return touchdown called back by penalty, the second time this season that has happened.

Once again the special teams MVP was Brad Wing. He pinned the Lions deep in their zone twice with two punts inside the 20-yard line. He had a long of 57 yards and averaged 42.6 yards per punt.
