The New York Giants were able to keep up their winning ways against the Detroit Lions in Week 15 at MetLife Stadium. The Giants came away with a 17-6 victory as they got contributions from all over the roster in all facets of the game.

The offense was able to produce enough points and sustain enough drives. The defense was once again dominant, leading the effort for a win once again. The special teams even got in on the act as everyone had a hand in the win.

It was a total team effort from the Giants as they snapped the Lions five-game winning streak. The win was the Giants’ eighth in their last nine games and sixth straight at home. The Giants finish the season with a dominant 7-1 record at MetLife, and their success at home is a big reason they are squarely in the playoff picture.

With the win, the Giants moved closer to clinching a playoff spot. Their next win, or Green Bay Packers loss, will clinch at least a Wild Card spot for New York. They will have a chance to accomplish that feat early in the week, as the Giants play on Thursday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles on December 22nd.

The Giants are in a position to clinch a playoff spot Thursday because of the performance they had against the Lions. They succeeded across the board and did enough in every area to get the victory.
