The New York Jets have had an awful 2016 season. With a record well below .500, all eyes are looking at the 2017 NFL Draft.

The New York Jets had some decent expectations coming into the 2016 season. After just missing the playoffs in 2015 with a 10-6 record, many believed that the Jets would be able to contend for a postseason spot this year.

There have been plenty of reasons why the Jets have struggled this season. On offense, their quarterback situation has been a total mess. Also, the offensive line hasn’t been good either. On the defensive side of the ball, the Jets have been one of the worst teams in the NFL defending the pass.

The combination of not being able to pass the ball or stop the pass makes it pretty obvious why the Jets have struggled this season. With the season all but over, the remaining games will be to help evaluate and develop some of the young talents on the team. The Jets have plenty of veterans on the team that might be taking a step back in the final games to let young players showcase what they can or cannot do.

With the 2017 NFL Draft being the main focus for the Jets, here are five positions they should be targeting when they are on the clock.
