Giants quarterback Eli Manning took a lot of the blame for the loss in Week 13 to the Steelers. While Manning didn’t play well, the play-calling was once again poor for the Giants. Due to the offensive line struggling, time in the pocket has been an issue for Manning. Ben McAdoo has been calling a lot of short passes, which hasn’t resulted in much success on offense.

Against the Cowboys, the Giants offensive line should be able to give Manning some protection. The Cowboys are one of the worst teams at getting to the quarterback, and Manning should have time to look down the field.

With weapons like Odell Beckham Jr, Victor Cruz, and Sterling Shepard, Manning has great options to throw the deep ball to. A few deep passes down the field should also result in the safeties playing back more rather than in the box to defend short passes and the run.

In the first meeting of the season, Manning played well in Dallas. In Week 1, Manning totaled three touchdown passes and just one interception in the win. If the Giants are going to beat the Cowboys for a second time this season, Manning must have a good game.
