Eli Manning

Sunday will likely be a high-scoring game between the Giants and Steelers. With that being said, the Giants will need quarterback Eli Manning at his best. This week, Eli’s big brother Peyton was at the Giants facility. Peyton watched the Giants walkthroughs, and also helped with the game plan.

The past few weeks, the Giants gameplan has been rather poor. Against poor teams, the Giants have been far too conservative. Manning was able to total five touchdown passes and no interceptions the past two weeks. While it is great that there weren’t any interceptions, Manning also didn’t total more than 230 passing yards in either game. For Manning to have fewer than 200 yards passing against the Browns is poor game planning.

Even though the defense has been playing well, they are going to be giving up points to the Steelers. Unlike the past few weeks, the defense won’t be able to save them. Manning is certainly capable of throwing for 300+ yards in a game. On Sunday, the Giants will need him to. Although the running game has been better the past few weeks with Rashad Jennings, it will be Manning who needs the big game to beat the Steelers.
