New York Giants: Who Are Five Players to Watch vs Pittsburgh Steelers?
By Nick Ziegler
Ben Roethlisberger
Anytime you play the Steelers you have to worry about one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Ben Roethlisberger is once again having a great season for the Steelers, and he knows that his team needs a win on Sunday.
This season, Roethlisberger has totaled 23 touchdown passes, seven interceptions, and 2,745 passing yards. It wouldn’t be an NFL season if Roethlisberger didn’t overcome an injury, and he has done that already. Despite tearing his meniscus, Roethlisberger missed just one game for the Steelers this season.
Recently, the Steelers haven’t asked too much of Roethlisberger and the passing offense. Easy games against the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts have resulted in fewer passes for the Steelers. In the last two games, Roethlisberger didn’t total over 250 passing yards in either game.
While the Steelers have been running the ball more frequently, Roethlisberger has shown he can light up a defense when needed. Three games ago against the Dallas Cowboys, Roethlisberger threw for 408 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. In his last three games, Roethlisberger also hasn’t thrown an interception. The Giants passing defense has done well this season, but they must be prepared for a big game from Roethlisberger.
