The New York Giants and Cleveland Browns played in Week 12 and a couple of streaks were continued. The Giants ran their winning streak to six games, and now have a record of 8-3. The Browns winless season continued in the process, as they are now 0-12 heading into the bye week.

It wasn’t the prettiest of games as both teams struggled most of the night offensively. The Giants didn’t look like they had much of a gameplan tonight, turning the switch on and off. It was on just enough for the Giants to get a victory. The Browns offense struggled because their ineptitude continued and the Giants defense brought it all afternoon.

The Giants defense has certainly picked up in recent weeks and is now as big a reason as any for their stretch of success. The schedule hasn’t been overly daunting but the high-priced defense as certainly come alive. The defense looks like a well-oiled machine, while the offense is regressing some.

It was a sloppy game overall between the Giants and Browns. The Giants looked to be playing down to their competition a bit and looking forward to the remainder of their schedule. They face the Pittsburgh Steelers next week at Heinz Field and every opponent on their remaining schedule is currently .500 or better on the season.

Before we begin taking a look at the remainder of the season, we are going to dig deeper into the game from this past week. Check out our team grades for the Giants from their victory over the Browns on Sunday.
