New York Knicks vs Charlotte Hornets: 5 Players To Watch In Home-And-Home
Kemba Walker
The Knicks are much improved at the point guard spot with Derrick Rose and Brandon Jennings. But, they will have their hands full over the weekend with Kemba Walker. Walker is enjoying a breakout season and the Knicks are the next team to see it first hand.
Walker is putting up his best season efficiency wise and as a result, is having one of the best seasons of his career. He is averaging a career-high 24.8 points per game on 47.6 percent shooting and 43.8 percent from the three-point line. He is ninth in player efficiency rating, 18th in assist percentage and top-15 in multiple win shares and box plus/minus.
He will be a handful for the Knicks as he is lightning quick and has expanded his offensive game. Walker has turned himself into a true threat from the perimeter as teams used to be able to slack off him a little bit and dare him to shoot three-pointers. He is now knocking them down with consistency and putting pressure on opposing defenses from all over the court.
Walker is the clear leader offensively for the Hornets. If the Knicks point guards can slow him down it will greatly help the team improve their chances of winning.
