New Face Of The Franchise

This is a title that Carmelo Anthony has held the past couple of seasons but should be used for Kristaps Porzingis. We are seeing Porzingis blossom before our eyes and it is a sight to behold.

Porzingis has a huge advantage over basically anyone that tries to defend him. He can shoot over quicker opponents and drive by bigger ones. It was one full display tonight as Jeff Hornacek deployed more lineups with Porzingis playing center.

He took full advantage, scoring 31 points on 13-of-23 from the field. He made 3-of-8 from beyond the arc and both of his free throw attempts. Porzingis also added nine rebounds, one assist, and one block on the evening for a full stat line. He took advantage of anyone the Blazers threw at him, as he had Ed Davis, Mason Plumlee, and Meyers Leonard all attempt to slow him down.

The Knicks need to make Porzingis the focus on their offense as he can take this team to the next level. He can score in many different ways and is quickly becoming an unstoppable force offensively.
