Rushing Offense Grade: A-

This wasn’t an otherworldly performance on the ground, but from where the Giants were running the ball two weeks ago compared to where they are now is a big difference. Last week the Giants finally found some success on the ground against the Bengals, rushing for 122 yards. They were able to carry that success over against the Bears.

The Giants averaged four yards per carry on the afternoon; not a great number but an improvement. They ran for 105 on 26 carries, as Rashad Jennings, Paul Perkins and even Eli Manning averaged four yards per carry on one scramble; Manning is in the books with four rushes because of three knees he took to finish the game.

Jennings ran hard all afternoon, gaining 85 yards on 21 carries. The Giants ground it out on the ground with Jennings, as he constantly fought for extra yards to extend drives. He is beginning to take control of the backfield and finding success, as Perkins only received four carries in the game.

Perkins had 16 yards on his four carries as Jennings is turning into a workhorse back for the Giants. He out-touched Perkins 26-6 against the Bears and it worked out well. The Giants found a lot of success near the end of 2015 when they turned to Jennings as the bellcow back and are beginning to find it again.
