Collins Domination Continues

One of the budding stars of the Giants is safety Landon Collins. After earning the reputation of being a player that can’t cover well, Collins has quickly shed that and has become a playmaker in the secondary for the Giants.

Starting against the Los Angeles Rams in London, Collins has been playing just as well as any safety in the NFL. Against the Rams, Collins was able to total two interceptions and a touchdown, and he hasn’t stopped dominating since then.

In the last four games, Collins has now totaled five interceptions after he was able to intercept Jay Cutler in the win. Like against the Bengals, the interception by Collins came at a key time in the game for the Giants, as this one against the Bears sealed the win.

Due to the Giants only being up by six points when the Bears were driving late, it was a game-saving interception. If Collins continues to play at this extremely high level, we could be looking at him being named to the Pro Bowl this season.

Having Collins excelling in coverage as well as being a factor in the box gives the Giants a unique weapon to use on their defense.
