Offensive Line: B-

This unit has been much maligned this season. Going into the summer, offensive line help was needed; Jerry Reese didn’t get it. The same problem persisted into the summer and training camp; still nothing. Now halfway through the regular season and the need for offensive line help is still apparent.

But, the line has not been as bad as people thought they would be. They struggled against pass rushers sometimes, but they have managed to keep Eli Manning pretty clean. They have given up only 12 sacks this season, the second least amount in the NFL. Manning has looked skittish at times in the pocket, but the line has done its job more often than not.

Ereck Flowers remains a work in progress at left tackle. It is a big reason the Giants were unable to get any veterans to sign with them because they didn’t want to move Flowers off left tackle. His development is important as the Giants have the makings of a strong interior with Justin Pugh and Weston Richburg.

The injury to Pugh will test this unit in the coming weeks. His sprained MCL will sideline him for 2-4 weeks and the Giants depth will really be tested. Will the Giants be able to replace arguably their best player up front?
