The New York Rangers face the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on November 13th, 2016. Here is all the information you will need to watch the game.

The New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers will face off for the second and final time this season tonight. They played against each other November 3rd at Madison Square Garden with the Rangers winning 5-3.

In that game, Henrik Lundqvist was in goal for the Rangers against Cam Talbot. Tonight, Antti Raanta is expected to be in net as Lundqvist played last night against the Calgary Flames in a 4-1 victory. Talbot is expected to be in net for the Oilers.

The Oilers have seen first hand just how explosive the Rangers offense can be. The Rangers have 10 players with at least 10 points scored this season. J.T. Miller leads the way with 14 points, including five goals. The Rangers have an NHL-high 62 goals scored this season and received high praise from the Oilers.

“They’re one of the best offensive teams in the game, if not the best one,” said Oilers captain Connor McDavid. “I think you definitely have to watch out for that.”

Coach Todd McLellan also had positive words for the Rangers, saying, “The Rangers, in my opinion, are if not the best team in the league, then one of the top two or three right now. They’ve decided that they want to play a certain way and it matches the way the coaching staff attempts to play. They went out and got pieces that fit those holes and as a result, maybe some players that weren’t successful with other organizations have come in there and fit their identity well and all of sudden, they’re having success.”

The Oilers are hoping to slow down that explosive attack tonight. Early starts have been a problem for them, as they have given up a goal less than two minutes into the game in four of their last six contests.

That is a start the Oilers have to avoid against the Rangers. Putting themselves in an early hole against a team with as strong an offense as the Rangers could spell trouble.
