The Brooklyn Nets picked up an impressive road victory over the Phoenix Suns Saturday night. It was the Nets first victory away from Barclays Center this season and gives them a 4-5 record on the season. With the loss, the Suns drop to 3-7.

The Suns were able to cut the Nets lead to two points with 4:16 left in the game. That was the closest the Suns would get as the Nets would finish the game strong and blow the Suns out of the water.

The Nets would hold the Suns to only four points the remainder of the game, outscoring them 20-4 to finish out the game. The Nets got contributions from many different players, as six players scored in double figures, led by 20 from Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

The Nets played strong defense throughout the evening as well. They held the Suns to 37.4 percent shooting and 24.2 percent from the three-point line. The Suns were able to get multiple possessions at times, though, as they pulled down 17 offensive rebounds. Despite all those extra chances, the Suns still couldn’t keep pace with the Nets.

More from Brooklyn Nets

The Nets ability to corral Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker were a big reason for the victory. They were held to only 19 points combined, as the two shot 6-of-26 from the field. This was the first this season that Bledsoe did not score double-digit points in a game.

Brooklyn ended up shooting an impressive 47.6 percent from the field. They made 16 three-pointers, knocking down 43.2 percent of their shots from deep. They also made the most of their chances at the free-throw line, making 26-of-30 from the charity stripe.

The Nets got the job done on both ends of the court and it resulted in a nice victory on the road.

Three Stars

SF Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Nets — Hollis-Jefferson is not known for his offensive game but he brought it tonight against the Suns. Hollis-Jefferson scored a career-high 20 points on 5-of-11 from the field. He made a living at the foul line, knocking down 10-of-11 of his free throws. He provided production elsewhere as well, pulling down 13 rebounds with four assists, one steal, and one block.

PF Trevor Booker, Nets — Booker has been a steal for the Nets this offseason. He brings effort and energy and continued that against the Suns. Booker scored 19 points, going 7-of-10 from the field including a make on his lone three-point attempt and 4-for-4 from the foul line. He also grabbed eight rebounds with four assists and one block.

SF Jared Dudley, Suns — There wasn’t many positives for the Suns tonight but Dudley was one of them. Dudley is still a threat from behind the arc and showed that to the Nets. He made half of his attempts from the three-point line, knocking down four on the night. He finished with 17 points in 28 minutes, adding six rebounds and two assists.
