The New York Islanders face the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on November 10th, 2016. Here is all the information you will need to watch the game.

The New York Islanders will be looking to exact some revenge on the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight. The teams faced off just over a week ago at Barclays Center and the Lightning delivered a 6-1 blowout. The Islanders will look to return the favor tonight on the Lightning’s home ice.

The Islanders enter tonight’s game off a victory. They snapped their three-game losing streak Monday with a victory over the Vancouver Canucks. New York now has a record of 5-6-2 with 12 points.

The Lightning come into the game losing their last game to the Florida Panthers Monday. The loss dropped their record to 7-5-1 with 15 points.

Tampa Bay has an explosive offense and the Islanders have seen it first hand. The Lightning come into tonight’s game averaging 3.08 goals per game, tied for sixth in the NHL. They averaged 3.6 goals per game in last season’s playoff series as the Lightning eliminated the Islanders 4-1; they won four consecutive games after the Islanders took Game 1.

More from New York Islanders

The scoring continued in their first meeting this season as well. Nikita Kucherov totaled four points, netting two goals with two assists. The Islanders will have to find a way to slow him down if they want to get the victory tonight and help out whoever is in net tonight. In the first meeting, Jaroslav Halak and Thomas Griess both allowed three goals.

The Islanders are hoping that free agent signings Andrew Ladd and Jason Chimera can continue providing offensive production. Each scored their first goals of the season against the Canucks Monday. Getting both on track will undoubtedly help the Islanders as they head into their first extended stay away from New York; they haven’t had back-to-back games outside the New York area yet this season.

Will the Islanders be able to get anything going on the road? They are 0-3-0 away from Barclays Center this season, being outscored 11-6 in the process. Will tonight be the night they get their first road victory? We will have to tune in and see. Here is all the information you will need to watch the Islanders and Lightning tonight from Tampa Bay.

Special teams will be key tonight. The Islanders and Lightning couldn’t be much further away in special teams success. The Islanders have struggled mightily in both areas, ranking 25th in power play percentage and 26th in penalty kill percentage.

The Lightning, on the other hand, have had success. They are fifth in the NHL in power play and seventh in penalty kill.
