Vancouver Canucks vs New York Rangers Live Stream: Watch NHL Online
The Vancouver Canucks face the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on November 8th, 2016. Here is all the information you need to watch the game.
The Vancouver Canucks and New York Rangers face off tonight and they are two teams going in totally different directions. The Canucks enter tonight’s game on an eight-game losing streak and nine points on the season. The Rangers come in with the second-most points in the NHL with 20 and a five-game winning streak.
The Canucks are in the middle of a six game road trip that has been brutal thus far. They are being outscored 14-5 on the road trip thus far and are being outscored 31-12 during the losing streak. They look to avoid a franchise record-tying 10th straight loss tonight and one way to do that would be to improve on special teams.
Vancouver is 3-for-26 on the power play during their losing streak as they are not taking advantage of having an extra player on the ice. “It’s tough when you’re losing over a stretch; that weighs on you,” Canucks coach Willie Desjardins said. “How do you get out of it? Well the only way you get out of it is by playing hard. There’s no shortcuts out of it. We’ve got to battle and we’ve got to make it happen. If we don’t, then we stay in the streak we’re in.”

The Canucks showed some life against the New York Islanders last night. They had 32 shots and scored two goals, getting the first one of the game for only the second time this season. One of the goals was of the power play variety, snapping a seven-game streak without one.
But the Rangers are a totally different animal than the Islanders. New York is the highest scoring team in the NHL with 4.23 goals per game. They have scored at least five in every game of their current winning streak.
A big reason for the success is their third line of Kevin Hayes, J.T. Miller, and Michal Grabner. The trio has scored 12 goals with 11 assists during the winning streak. “We’re all feeling good with each other,” Hayes said of his line. “I think with [Grabner’s] speed and how heavy [Miller] plays, I can kind of create plays for them and create a lot of space in the O-zone. Defensively we can be better for sure, but offensively it’s just coming right now.”
The Rangers are throttling teams currently as they allow only 2.23 goals per game, which is fourth in the NHL. Coupled with their high-powered offense and the Rangers are tough to stop right now. Will that success continue against the Canucks? We will have to tune and see and we have all the information you need to watch the game.
