Special Teams Grade: B

It was a solid afternoon for the Giants special teams as a whole. Robbie Gould has picked right up where Josh Brown left off, nailing all four of his extra points; he has made all seven of his field goal and extra point attempts in two games.

Brad Wing continues to get the job done punting. He is on pace for career-highs in gross and net yards per punt, adding to that with seven punts for an average of 46 yards against the Eagles. Wing has seen his touchback percentage and inside the 20 percentage go in the wrong direction, but that can partly be blamed on the Giants coverage teams.

The Giants are allowing 14 yards per punt return, third worst in the NFL. Darren Sproles took advantage of them on one of his returns, taking a punt 66 yards. The Giants need to clean that up as the season progresses.

Jason Pierre-Paul did block a field goal attempt by Caleb Sturgis. It helped preserve the Giants lead at 11 points going into halftime so that the Eagles did not steal momentum away.

Dwayne Harris had a pedestrian day on his returns. He had two kick returns, averaging 15 yards per return. On his one punt return, Harris gained 10 yards. He gets the job done on special teams and is a fine return man and gunner on the outside.
