New York Giants Team Grades vs Philadelphia Eagles
Passing Offense Grade: B+
The Giants passing offense got off to a hot start. Eli Manning threw two touchdowns in the first five and a half minutes in the game courtesy of Eagles turnovers. It got the Giants out to an early lead that they desperately needed.
After that, it was a mixed bag. Manning would throw two more touchdowns but also had two interceptions. The first was not his fault, but the second could have been costly as it set the Eagles up in Giants territory late in the game.
On the afternoon Manning completed 22-of-36 for 257 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions. The scores were encouraging as Manning got everyone involved through the air. Odell Beckham Jr. caught two touchdowns, Sterling Shepard found the endzone for the first time since Week 3 and Roger Lewis caught his second touchdown in the last three games.
Manning spread the wealth as four players had three receptions and two had four, as he hit eight different players on the afternoon. It was an encouraging performance as the Giants saw some success through the air without relying solely on Beckham Jr. There were some wrinkles added that they will hopefully continue working in throughout the second half of the season.
