The Minnesota Timberwolves face the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on November 8th, 2016. Here is all the information that you will need to watch the game.

The Minnesota Timberwolves make their lone visit to the Barclays Center tonight to face the Brooklyn Nets. The Timberwolves enter the game with a record of 1-4, while the Nets are 2-4.

The Timberwolves have no one to blame but themselves for their poor record to start the season; they have already blown leads of 17, 18, and 15 points this season. It is all part of the process for a young Timberwolves team in their first season under Tom Thibodeau.

That process has netted the Timberwolves some serious talent. Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Gorgui Dieng, and Karl-Anthony Towns are one of the best young groupings in the NBA. There are two NBA Rookie of the Year winners in that group in Wiggins and Towns, and Towns already looks like one of the best big men in the NBA.

Towns has been on fire recently with back-to-back 30+ point games. Unfortunately for Minnesota they have lost both of those games and have never won a game in which Towns went for more than 30 points. Towns would much rather prefer to get the win than gaudy scoring numbers.

More from Brooklyn Nets

“It’s the least of my worries,” Towns said of his big scoring nights. “That’s the least thing I care about. None of those stats matter without us getting the win. It’s frustrating because we didn’t get the win. I’d rather finish with zero points and one rebound and get a ‘W’ than what I had tonight.”

While Towns continues to perform, a problem for the Timberwolves is the injury to Ricky Rubio. It forced youngsters Kris Dunn and Tyus Jones into bigger roles of running the offense. It is something they will have to adapt to and something the Nets know all about.

The Nets lost Jeremy Lin over the weekend to a hamstring injury. He will be out at least two weeks, joining Randy Foye and Greivis Vasquez on the sidelines. With their veterans out, the Nets are turning to 2016 second round pick Isaiah Whitehead and Sean Kilpatrick to run the offense.

With Lin sidelined teams can scheme their defense to stopping Brook Lopez. The Nets do not have an established scoring option alongside Lopez with Lin out so teams can throw double-teams at Lopez all evening. It is something head coach Kenny Atkinson will have to adjust to.

Will tonight be the night that he gets something figured out? The matchup between Towns and Lopez will be a good one to watch. Can the rest of the Nets keep up with the young Timberwolves? Tune in tonight to find out. Here is all the information you need to watch the game.
