Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham Jr. battled a hip pointer against the Rams in London. He was visibly slowed, as he didn’t have his normal impact as the injury sapped some of his explosion. He was still able to provide a huge catch for the Giants but admitted the injury bothered him.

The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time, as Beckham Jr. almost sat out against the Rams. But with a week to rest, Beckham Jr. was able to get closer to 100 percent healthy. He has said that the injury is still bothering him some, but he feels much better than he did two weeks ago.

That is big news for a Giants offense that has struggled at times with him on the field; taking him off the field wouldn’t seem to be a recipe to turn things around. He is expected to be in the lineup against the Eagles and that is good news for the Giants.

Beckham Jr. is having a relatively slow season by his crazy standards. But he has shown that he can get the job done still when need be. He single-handedly carried the offense to a victory over the Baltimore Ravens and is capable of taking over a game.

The Giants need to get him going early and often. He is the best player on the team and the rest of the team feeds off his energy. If he is performing well it will open up opportunities for his teammates to take advantage of.
