Carson Wentz

Wentz has taken the NFL by storm along with fellow NFC East rookie quarterback Dak Prescott. The Eagles talked about how he wasn’t ready to play during the preseason, especially after he got injured. But, he became the starter once Sam Bradford was traded and has played well.

On the season Wentz is completing 65.8 percentage of his passes and has 1,526 yards. He has nine touchdowns thrown compared to only three interceptions, Ball security is important for a rookie and Wentz has accomplished that by not doing anything to really hurt the team.

But can he be successful without some of his offensive linemen? In addition to Lane Johnson, who is serving a suspension, the Eagles will be without starting guard Allen Barbre. Will the backups be able to give Wentz time in the pocket to make some plays?

The Eagles have been very conservative with Wentz at quarterback thus far. He is averaging only 6.7 yards per pass attempt, which ranks 25th in the NFL. He has gone over 250 yards only twice all season, three times going under 200 yards passing. Will he be able to get anything going against the Giants pass defense?

The Giants rank fourth in the NFL allowing only 6.3 yards per attempt and fourth in passer rating allowed at 77.5.
