The New Jersey Devils face the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on November 5th, 2016. Here is all the information you need to watch the game.

The New Jersey Devils will face off with the Tampa Bay Lightning for the third and final time this season tonight. The teams have split the first two meetings of the season, with each team winning on their home ice. Will that trend continue tonight?

The Devils enter the game with a 4-2-3 record and 11 points. The Lightning come in at 6-4-1 and 13 points. They have been heading in opposite direction in recent games.

The Devils enter tonight’s game with points in five straight games. They have gone 3-0-2 and climbed into the playoff picture. It is still very early in the season, but this is a game that could have a big impact at the end of the season as both teams have playoff aspirations.

Tampa Bay, meanwhile, has hit a cold streak. They returned home after a six-game road trip earlier this week. It began well but ended on a low note as they lost three of the last four games. They have gone 1-3-1 in their last five games and will be looking to get back on track against the Devils tonight.

More from New Jersey Devils

Both games this season have started with the Devils take a 2-0 lead in the first period. They were able to hold on for the victory last weekend, but blew the lead in Tampa Bay the first week of the season. It has been a troubling trend for Tampa Bay throughout the season, as they have given up the first goal in seven of 11 games.

“Clearly, it’s troublesome,” said Lightning coach Jon Cooper after Thursday’s home shootout loss to the Bruins; another game they started down 2-0. “We fell down (Thursday) but I didn’t think we should have been down 2-0. When they got their legs under them, they played well enough to win.”

Will the Lightning be able to shake the early game woes? Or will the Devils get another early lead and ride it to a victory? We have all the information you need to watch the game and find out.
