The Edmonton Oilers face the New York Islanders at the Barclays Center November 5th, 2016. We have all the information you need to watch the game.

The Edmonton Oilers travel to take on the New York Islanders for their lone trip of the season to Brooklyn. The Oilers enter the game with a record of 7-3-1 and 15 points. The Islanders enter 4-6-1 with nine points. But, both teams have struggled coming into tonight’s game.

Edmonton is riding a three-game losing streak as their road trip has not started well. Brooklyn will be the third stop in their five-game road trip. The Islanders enter the game on a two-game losing streak of their own. They are in the middle of a five-game homestand and it has not gone as planned. After winning the first game, they have dropped the last two and lost four of their last five games.

The Oilers will look for a spark with a line change. They have shuffled around their left wings, hoping to create a spark on the ice. “We played together a fair amount last year and found a little success,” Connor McDavid said. “We’re hoping for the same.” McDavid will now be skating with Patrick Maroon while Milan Lucic will move to the line with Leon Draisaitl and Zack Kassian. Benoit Pouliot will be skating with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jesse Puljujarvi.

More from New York Islanders

The Islanders will look to get their penalty kill back on track. After beginning the season 21-for-22 on the penalty kill, they have gone 14-for-21 in their last five games. They have struggled in those last five games and that is a big reason why.

Jaroslav Halak is also projected to be in net for a third consecutive game, and fourth in the last five.

Hockey fans will be excited to see two of the best young players in the game on the ice together. McDavid and John Tavares are two players worth the price of admission. Can’t make it to the game to watch in person? Don’t worry we have all the information you need to watch on television.
