The New York Jets were able to defeat the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. What are some takeaways from the Jets’ third win of the season?

There were a lot of worried New York Jets fans heading into Week 8. Due to the Jets struggling for much of the season, the fanbase was terrified of losing to the winless Cleveland Browns.

The start to the game did not help ease the heart rates of Jets fans, as the Browns opened up a 10-0 lead to start the game. On the first drive of the game, the Browns went right down the field on the Jets’ defense and it looked like they were going to be headed toward their first win of the season.

With the score 20-7 at halftime, the Browns looked very much in control of the game, but the Jets responded really well at halftime. With an embarrassing loss staring them in the face, the Jets played a much better game in the second half and scored 24 unanswered points at one time.

While it was nice to get a win against the Browns, the Jets narrowly escaped Cleveland with a three-point win. Now with a 3-5 record, there is a glimmer of hope for the Jets, but it is going to take a miracle turnaround to think that this team is a playoff contender.

With that being said, the Jets will have to take it game-by-game at this point. Here are five takeaways from their win against the Browns.
