The Chicago Blackhawks face the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center on October 28th, 2016. Here is all the information you will need to watch the game.

The Chicago Blackhawks will be making their only appearance of the season at the Prudential Center tonight against the New Jersey Devils. The Blackhawks enter the game with a record of 3-3-1 and seven points. The Devils enter the contest 3-2-1 with seven points.

Chicago comes into the game looking for their first road victory of the season, going 0-2 away from the United Center. The Devils, meanwhile, are undefeated at home, compiling a record of 3-0 thus far. The Devils are in the midst a four-game homestand, so they will be looking to continue that momentum tonight against the Blackhawks.

A key to the game tonight will the play on special teams. The Blackhawks are perennial contenders, but this season their penalty kill has held them back. Chicago ranks last in killing penalties, succeeding at only 46.1 percent. To put into perspective how poor that is, the second worst penalty kill is 68.2 percent by the Nashville Predators.

That could be an area that the Devils take advantage in. They rank 11th in the NHL with a 23.8 percent success rate. They have five power play goals in 16 chances in their past four games, which is 31.3 percent; that would rank them third in the NHL.

More from New Jersey Devils

Special teams will be something to keep an eye on as they can help turn the tide of the game and help goaltenders. The Devils have gotten a career-best start from Cory Schneider, who has started all six games thus far this season. He will take a seat Friday, as the Devils start a back-to-back set.

In his place will be Keith Kinkaid. Kinkaid would have had a tough draw, as he would have faced either the Blackhawks tonight or the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow. Despite the difficult matchup, he is excited to get on the ice.

“I’m very excited,” Kinkaid said to the Bergen Record. “I’ll finally get some game action. I just want to help the guys out.” The Devils were so-so with Kinkaid in net last season. They won nine of his 20 starts, including two shutouts.

Will he be able to get his season started on the right foot? Or will the Blackhawks be able to finally figure things out on special teams? You will have to tune in to find out. Can’t find the game? We have all the information you need to watch.
