The New York Knicks lost their first game of the season to the Cleveland Cavaliers. What did fans have to say about the loss on opening night?

The 2016-17 season didn’t get off to a good start for the New York Knicks. On the night when the Cleveland Cavaliers raised their banner and received their rings, they also clobbered the Knicks.

After an offseason of big moves, the Knicks are expected to be a playoff contender this season. On the first night of the season, the Knicks had some good moments, but there were more bad moments. In the 117-88 loss, the Knicks had no answer for LeBron James, and they also had long droughts of poor execution on offense. James was able to pick up where he left off in the NBA Finals. In the win, he was the best player on the court, as he recorded a triple-double rather easily.

Due to Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah missing time this preseason with the team, it is going to take some time to gel. On offense, the Knicks really looked like a team that hasn’t played all that much together, and that is because they haven’t.

Losing on the road to the defending NBA Champions isn’t the end of the world for the Knicks. The loss will present the team with plenty of things that they can work on before their next game.

There is a lot of talent on this season, but it will take time for everyone to gel. After the first loss of the season, what did fans on Twitter have to say about the Knicks?
