Dallas Cowboys

Does anyone remember when the Dallas Cowboys couldn’t win a game without quarterback Tony Romo? Rookie signal-caller Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott have solved those issues.

Prescott displays accuracy and doesn’t turn the ball over. He’s registered seven touchdown passes and only one interception while completing 68 percent of his passes in six starts.

Without wide receiver Dez Bryant on the field, Prescott built a solid rapport with Cole Beasley who leads the team in all the major receiving categories. Bryant expects to return in Week 8 after a bye, per NFL Network reporter Jane Slater:

The Cowboys will also have defensive end Demarcus Lawrence back in action, per Dallas Morning News reporter David Moore:

Lawrence served a four-game suspension and took the field in Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals but suffered a shoulder injury last week.

A tough decision on whether to reinsert quarterback Tony Romo into the lineup looms over the Cowboys’ success. Will the coaching staff attempt to fix something that isn’t broken on offense? It’s difficult to implement change with a 5-1 record, a division lead and riding a five-game win streak.

Last Game: 10/16 Packers 30-16 (Win)
