The New York Giants drop to 2-2 after a 24-10 loss to an undefeated Minnesota Vikings team. Head coach Ben McAdoo must rally the players on short week en route to Lambeau Field.

It’s hard to extract many positives from the Giants’ latest loss with several mental and physical errors throughout the contest. In fact, Big Blue never held control and dug an early hole with a muffed punt. The Vikings recovered and set up the offense on a short field.

The Vikings capitalized on the early turnover and never looked back at stumbling Giants team.

Injuries also factored into Big Blue’s demise. Without cornerbacks Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, designated as an emergency backup, and Eli Apple, the replacements struggled in coverage. Leon Hall and Trevin Wade botched coverage assignments in critical moments. Minnesota developed a pattern in taking advantage of the Giants’ miscues.

Despite scoring just 10 points, the Giants saw their fifth-round pick produce in spurts. As a whole, New York’s running backs fared well without starter Rashad Jennings. However, their contributions didn’t amount to a victory against a stingy defense.

The Giants opted to utilize a methodical approach and it played into the Vikings’ proverbial hands. Without explosive plays downfield, Minnesota protected and padded a lead with patience on offense.

What did we learn from the Giants’ latest loss? What did wide receiver Odell Beckham say about the officiating? How did quarterback Eli Manning respond to questions about his star wideout? Who pulled Beckham aside in the locker room? We’ll go through all the questions with answers and analysis.
