– Wilson looked healthy

Coming into the week, most of the attention was surrounding the knee of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. After suffering a strained MCL against the San Francisco 49ers, many believed early in the week that Wilson would be out. However, Wilson was able to get through practices this week for the Seahawks and suit up on Sunday.

Despite not being 100%, Wilson was able to have a big day against the Jets. In the win, Wilson totaled 309 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. The Jets’ defensive line was expected to have a big day against Wilson and the Seahawks’ suspect offensive line, but that wasn’t the case. Wilson was only sacked twice in the game by Buster Skrine and Leonard Williams.

The Jets were able to limit any damage by Wilson on the ground, but quick passes negated the Jets’ advantage in the trenches. Considering Wilson was clearly not 100%, it was really disappointing to see the Jets’ defense struggle against the Seahawks this week.

Consistency has been a major issue for the Jets on defense this season, and their secondary has some serious issues that need to be addressed.
