Giants Start Season 3-0

It sounds odd for a team that finished 6-10 and couldn’t do much right in the previous season. However, the Giants should leave MetLife Stadium 3-0 after a victory over the slightly tense Redskins.

The locker room scrutiny will either force Cousins to improve his play or further cloud his judgment as he overthinks his throws in the pocket. If the latter occurs, prepare for mutiny in the Redskins’ locker room.

Here’s a troubling statistic for all Redskins fans. As a starter, Cousins hasn’t won a game against a winning team in his career. It’s a fair criticism that’s been carried over from the previous season but holds truth. He’s good at dicing up poor teams but crumbles against good competition.

With the Giants’ improved defense, the Redskins’ ground attack will struggle. Cousins’ tendency to complete passes to the wrong jerseys should factor into the outcome. New York wins at home 31-21 over Washington.
