It was a good night for the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football in Week 2. Despite being at a big disadvantage on the road in the second week of the season, the Jets were able to win. In recent years, Buffalo has not been a kind place to the Jets.

As recent as last season, the Jets had a heartbreaking loss in Week 17 which cost them a playoff spot. Revenge was certainly on the mind of the Jets in Week 2, and they were able to deliver. Bills head coach Rex Ryan was handed his first loss against the Jets after beating them twice in 2015. Surprisingly, it was his defense that really let him down in the loss.

Considering how poorly Ryan Fitzpatrick has played in his career against Ryan, he looked great on Thursday. Many put the must-win label on this game for the Jets, and they rose to the occasion. A win against a division opponent is always a good thing, and the Jets will now have extra time to prepare for Week 3.

In a high-scoring game, there were plenty of takeaways on both sides of the ball. Here are a few from the Jets’ first win of the season.
