– Brandon Marshall

One of the disappointments on the offensive side of the ball was the play of Brandon Marshall. While Marshall can’t take all of the blame because of some poor throws by Fitzpatrick, he did not have a good Week 1 either.

In Week 1, Marshall totaled just three receptions and 32 receiving yards. These number just simply won’t get the job done from the Jets’ No.1 wide receiver. Marshall was targeted eight times in the game, as it wasn’t like the Jets didn’t try to get him the ball.

Last season, Marshall was a monster for the Jets. He was a big reason why Fitzpatrick was able to play so well, as he helped bail him out multiple times. While Marshall was great last season, he did have a really bad game against the Bills. During the Thursday night game last season, Marshall only totaled three receptions in the loss.

In Week 17, Marshall played much better, but it still wasn’t enough for the Jets. On Thursday, the Jets will need Marshall to play like the elite wide receiver that he is to help get the Jets a win.
