Week 9: At Miami Dolphins

Last year, the Jets swept the Miami Dolphins. This year, head coach Adam Gase will aid quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s development. If running back Arian Foster remains healthy enough to play in Week 9, the Dolphins should win a last-minute thriller at home.

Jets offensive coordinator Chan Gailey will likely target the Dolphins’ questionable secondary, but defensive linemen Ndamukong Suh, Mario Williams and Cameron Wake overload the right tackle and accumulate multiple sacks.

Prediction: Loss

Score: Jets 26, Dolphins 27

Record: 4-5

Week 10: Vs. Los Angeles Rams

In a conservative slugfest, the Jets earn a victory over the Los Angeles Rams at home. Whether it’s Case Keenum or Jared Goff under center, the Rams wideouts will struggle mightily to separate from defensive backs Revis, Buster Skrine and Marcus Williams on pass routes.

Wilkerson, Richardson and Leonard Williams will succeed in crowding the running lanes to thwart Todd Gurley and the ground attack.

Prediction: Win

Score: Jets 21, Rams 10

Record: 5-5
