Week 5: At Pittsburgh Steelers

The Jets continue to run into hard times against the Pittsburgh Steelers. At this time, running back Le’Veon Bell takes the field in his second game after suspension, which means he’s still fresh.

Behind Forte, Bell probably ranks as the second-best receiving running back in the game. Both players will flash their dual-threat talents, but the Steelers outlast the Jets down the wire.

Prediction: Loss

Score: Jets 21, Steelers 30

Record: 2-3

Week 6: At Arizona Cardinals

Bowles travels to Arizona to face his former team where he served as a defensive coordinator for two seasons.

The Jets will struggle to defend three viable wide receivers and three dual-threat running backs out of the backfield. The Cardinals overwhelm the Jets with their offensive firepower and blanket their wideouts with defensive backs Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu.

Prediction: Loss

Score: Jets 14, Cardinals 35

Record: 2-4
