– Latest on Victor Cruz

After a good start to training camp for Victor Cruz, his injury issues have flared up again. Cruz has missed nearly two years due to a knee and then a calf injury. Coming back after missing so much time is not easy, and that is the challenge in front of Cruz.

Just before the Giants were set to play the Giants, Cruz decided not to play because of some groin issues. Many were hoping to see Cruz back in action against the Dolphins, but that wasn’t in the cards.

This past week, Cruz has missed practice and also has had a private meeting with head coach Ben McAdoo. Cruz did travel with the Giants to Buffalo but his status isn’t known quite yet. With Cruz possibly out, the Giants will be thin at wide receiver.

The Giants will be playing the New York Jets in the third week of the preseason, and it would be really good to see Cruz back on the field. With the regular season right around the corner, Cruz is running out of preseason games to get rid of some rust and build confidence.
