No. 26: Orlando Magic

Head coach Frank Vogel will write the ship with the Orlando Magic, who lost their way after Stan Van Gundy’s exit. The front office acquired a two-way player in Serge Ibaka, but the team lacks consistent scorers to hang in tight games.

Evan Fournier brings three-point shooting at the 2-spot, but where does the offense pick up on his poor shooting nights? The Magic have a strong defensive roster, but Vogel must continue guard Elfrid Payton’s development with Victor Oladipo in Oklahoma City.

No. 25: Miami Heat

The Miami Heat lost the franchise icon in Dwyane Wade. The short-term outlook for forward Chris Bosh‘s career seems grim. He dealt with blood clots in the previous season, which forced him to shut down after 53 games.

The Heat move on with center Hassan Whiteside, who’s far from a leader in the locker room, and point guard Goran Dragic. Justise Winslow will continue to make strides, but the team takes a huge step back.
