No. 14: Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards will ride their backcourt, featuring Bradley Beal and John Wall to the postseason. Together, they can rival guards Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan with the Toronto Raptors.

When healthy, Beal stretches the floor with his 42 percent three-point shooting. His presence also allows Wall to attack the rim and distribute to open shooters. Keep an eye on Markieff Morris in a full year with the team. Scott Brooks can’t afford to lose the locker room like his predecessor during rough stretches.

No. 13: Minnesota Timberwolves

Tom Thibideau takes over the head coaching position and the front office in Minnesota. He maintained a playoff contender in Chicago during Rose’s golden years and inherits a talented Timberwolves roster.

Minnesota has the No. 1 overall picks from the 2014 and 2015 draft classes thanks to the Kevin Love trade and poor regular season records.

Now, it’s time for the resurgence with their young stars, Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. The Timberwolves also added the 2016 No. 5 overall pick Kris Dunn to the backcourt. With consistent hard-nosed play, Minnesota will earn a playoff spot in the upcoming season.
