Victor Cruz Speaks on Odell Beckham’s Professionalism

Cruz spoke poignantly about Beckham’s maturing process going into his third year in the league:

"He’s becoming slowly but surely a professional and understanding the rights and wrongs to this game and the rights and wrongs of his craft. It’s just going to take more and more repetition [and] time day in and day out to understand what’s good and what’s bad. Right now, between these lines, he understands what his job is."

Interestingly, Cruz came out straight forward about Beckham’s need to go grow up and continue to learn the ins and outs as a professional athlete. Typically, teammates don’t delve into the good and bad about each other, but the veteran ended with confidence in Beckham’s mindset on the field.

Cornerback Josh Norman joined NFC East rival Washington Redskins during the offseason, which sets up two bouts between the cornerback and Beckham per season. The Giants wideout must keep his cool in action and on the sidelines to avoid a similar occurrence in the previous year.
