New York Knicks: No. 6

There’s much intrigue surrounding the Knicks after acquiring Rose, center Joakim Noah and guards Courtney Lee and Brandon Jennings.

As ESPN highlighted, there are tremendous injury risks with their two headline acquisitions, Rose and Noah.

If Rose can walk, he’ll suit up to play in a contract year. The 27-year-old point guard had his eyes set on the expanding 2017 salary cap a year before joining the Knicks. It’s possible the oft-injured guard may go down with an injury, but Jennings would fill in adequately.

The Knicks fall behind the Celtics due to the massive changes to the roster and leadership on the bench. New head coach Jeff Hornacek must instill his philosophies with three new starters. Albeit, Rose and Noah have played together, the duo needs time to mesh with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis.

Knicks fans expect major strides, but they must allow time for the elements to bond on the court. If healthy, they’ll end the season on a strong note and draw a favorable playoff matchup with the Hawks.
